Modern air conditioning systems are technologically advanced and reliable. But any equipment has a service life, and it can be significantly reduced due to improper or untimely maintenance. This is especially true for split systems. They consist of many components that are interconnected. It is not surprising that one of the parts may break sooner or later.

When the split system fails, an error is displayed on the air conditioner. This is very convenient. But to accurately determine the cause of the breakdown, you need to be able to decipher the error codes of air conditioners. The whole difficulty lies in the fact that the same code can have a different meaning for each manufacturer.

Please note! This article lists error codes for household split systems. Here you will not find codes for other types of air conditioners. You should understand that the list of errors of split systems and channel devices is different.

  • F4 — the indoor air injection temperature converter has failed or is not working properly.

  • E1 – excessive pressure;

  • E2-the indoor unit is frozen;

  • E3 – insufficient pressure;

  • F2-the thermal sensor in the middle of the heat exchanger in the indoor unit has failed or is not working properly;

  • F3-the thermal sensor at the outlet of the heat exchanger in the internal unit has failed or is not working properly;

  • F4 – the outdoor air temperature sensor has failed or is not working properly;

  • F5 – the outdoor unit’s temperature sensor has failed or is not working properly; — F6-error f6 means that the temperature sensor at the heat exchanger inlet of the outdoor unit has failed or is not working properly;

  • F7-the thermal sensor at the outlet of the heat exchanger in the outdoor unit has failed or is not working properly;

  • F8-the discharge temperature sensor of the 1st compressor has failed or is working incorrectly;

  • F9-the discharge temperature sensor of the 2nd compressor has failed or is working incorrectly;
