Instructions for the Chigo air conditioner control panel

Chigo is one of dozens of Chinese manufacturers that produce budget-class air conditioners. Due to the low cost and large functionality, Chigo air conditioners are popular with many buyers. But to unlock all the possibilities of your split system, you need to configure it correctly.

Use the remote control to configure it. It comes complete with air conditioning. Also read our article to understand the meaning of the buttons. We will tell you about all the main nuances on the example of the remote control ZH JT 03, which is often supplied with air conditioners Chido.

Details about each button

Most of the remote controls from Chigo air conditioners are Russified. You will not have any difficulties with setting up the device, even if you do not know English. Let’s take a closer look at what each button means.

ON/OFF

The main button on the remote control. If you press it once, the air conditioner will turn on, and if you press it again, it will turn off. When turned on, the cooling mode is set by default and the temperature is +25 degrees Celsius. The remaining parameters are set automatically.

Mode

With this button, you can quickly and easily switch different modes in the air conditioner. Each time you press it, one of the modes will be activated (automatic, cooling, heating, dehumidification, ventilation and again automatic). At the same time, you will see information about the selected mode on the display of the remote control.

Fan speed

The button responsible for setting the air venting speed. Do not confuse ventilation with ventilation. In the ventilation mode, the air circulates around the room without being refreshed. That is, it is not fresh air, but the one that is already present in the room. Each time you press it, the ventilation speed increases (from low to high).

Timer

It is responsible for setting the timer for switching on the split system. Press the button once and adjust the clock using the UP/DOWN buttons. Next, click on the «Timer» button again and adjust the minutes in the same way.

Fluctuations

Use this button to adjust the position of the guide curtains located in the indoor unit of the air conditioner. These curtains are also called «blinds», used to adjust the direction of air flow. By pressing the button once, you will see and hear the curtains begin to move up and down. When pressed again, the blinds will lock in their position.

Sleep

Press this button if the air conditioner is located in your bedroom and you go to bed. After pressing, the reduced noise mode will turn on, and the air temperature will decrease by 1-3 degrees.

Hold

This mode is also called LOCK. If you press it once, all the other buttons on the remote control will be locked and unavailable. This feature is very useful if you have small children or active pets. After repeatedly pressing the buttons, they are unlocked.

Cleaning up

We recommend that you regularly turn on this mode, as it is responsible for cleaning the indoor unit of the air conditioner from pathogens that can enter our body through the air. Of course, this function will not replace full-fledged disinfection, but definitely improve the level of comfort.

Lamp

It is responsible for turning on/off the lighting on the wall unit of the air conditioner.

Turbo

A very useful button that accelerates the cooling or heating of the air. Please note that this function does not work in automatic mode, as well as in ventilation and dehumidification mode.

Recommendations

To make the split system remote control last you for many years, you need to take into account a number of nuances:
