A remote control is included with the air conditioner. With it, you can conveniently adjust the mode of operation of the air conditioner, without actually getting up from the sofa. But many users fall into a stupor at the sight of the remote control, on the body of which there are many buttons, the names of which are difficult to understand.

Let’s take a closer look at how to turn on the air conditioner using the remote control, and what to do if there is no remote control.

With remote control

  1. Press the ON/OFF button and select the operating mode. Most remote controls have a «MODE» button, which allows you to switch between different modes one by one. Main modes: COOL (cooling), WARM (heating), DRY (dehumidification), AUTO (automatic mode selection). On some remote controls, these buttons are placed separately directly on the case.

  2. Adjust the temperature by pressing the buttons with the icons » σ » and «σ» or » + «and»-», depending on the remote control;

  3. Press the FAN button to enable ventilation mode. Not to be confused with ventilation! In the ventilation mode, the air simply circulates around the room, as if you turned on a regular fan. Set the fan speed using the «up» and «down» or » + » buttons and «-»;

  4. Press the «SWING» button to adjust the direction of the air flow. When you first press the blinds located in the indoor unit of the air conditioner, they will start to move up and down. When pressed again, the blinds will lock in their position.;

  5. Click on the «SLEEP» button if you want to turn on night mode (in this case, the device will work quieter and lower the temperature by a few degrees). Use the «TURBO» function to turn on the accelerated cooling or heating mode.

  6. You can also set the time. It will be displayed on the remote control or on the air conditioner unit. Press the «clock» button and use the «up» and «down» or «+» and «-» buttons to set the time. Then click on «clock» again to save the settings.

Without remote control

If there is no remote control at hand or it is out of order, you can search for a hidden button and turn on the device with it. This button is located under the decorative cover, on the right side. To find it, you will have to remove the panel.

In some models, the button is located in plain sight, and in some it takes some time to find it. Sometimes it is visible on the surface, and sometimes it is sunk inside the case, so that it can only be pressed with a thin long tool. Anyway, it is in most air conditioners and you can find it if you try.

The force switch button starts the mode automatically. It selects the optimal temperature and turns on cooling by default. By pressing the button sequentially, you will switch the various modes that are provided in your air conditioner.

Unfortunately, the current information about the selected mode is not displayed anywhere. Therefore, you need to wait 10-15 minutes before you understand which mode is currently selected.
